Peniche has a reputation for its waves and beeing a Fisherman Village also for the quality of the fish served on its many restaurants in the harbour area.
Here you may have fresh fish and seafruits at affordable prices while having a view on the activities that take place on the fishing harbour. The Fortaleza and its Dungeons is a minute away. Also a visit to nearby medieval village of Óbidos would be a good choice.

In Peniche you will be able to find waves suited to all levels of surfing and "surfing moods".
You have got good lefts in Supertubes, a sandy beach well know for its hollow tubes (also have rights) and a smoother reef break at Baleal called Lagido with a fat section on the inside after a quick drop on the peak.
Many other options are available and the wind is always good somewhere. A true gift of mother nature ! |
